The 2013 Merlot’s nose starts with beautiful blueberry and sweet cedar notes. Hints of vanilla, cigar box, and chocolate round out the aroma. The mouthfeel of the Merlot is smooth from start to finish. This wine exhibits the classic Rutherford dust composition and texture. Flavors of cherry liqueur, vanilla, and dark chocolate dominate the palate. One of the classic characteristics of this wine is the texture and flavor of baking cacao powder which rounds out the finish of the wine and brings to life the beautiful dusty tannins.
